Commentary Well-known scene since Savery (Dordrecht: Savery, 1657); before leaving for El Toboso, Sancho contemplates don Quixote performing some mad acts (doing a handspring).
The wood engraving reproduces perfectly Johannot's agile drawing (with short and quick lines).
