Commentary | The Duchess' page kneels down before Teresa Panza, accompanied by her daughter Sanchica, and gives her letters and presents from the Duchess and Sancho.
Well-known scene since Vanderbank (London: Tonson, 1738) and later illustrations with similar composition. Bucolic setting (see architecture, trees, clothes...). Good drawing and engraving. |
