Commentary At dawn, four travelers (servants of don Luis' father) arrive at the inn and find don Quixote tied by his hand to an inn window and standing up on Rocinante.
Rocinante begins to smell one of their mares and makes don Quixote lose his balance.
Well-known scene since Savery (Dordrecht: Savery, 1657); it lacks novelty.
Disequal drawing and engraving (badly-drawn horses and not very clear inn); forced expressions (don Quixote).
Notes 1 - Same plate first used for Madrid: Ibarra, 1780.
