Commentary On the right, the group of the three peasant girls; on the left, don Quixote and Sancho, both knelt down.
Sancho introduces one of the peasant girls as the enchanted Dulcinea while holds the reins of her donkey.
Well-known composition; almost an inverted copy after Vanderbank (London: Tonson, 1738).
Illustration of great quality as a whole; remarkable realism of the figures (don Quixote and Dulcinea) and good setting (in the background, El Toboso and its church).
