Commentary | Doctor Pedro Recio orders the servants to take away the dishes from governor Sancho's table; Sancho, full of anger, looks at Pedro Recio.
Sancho's figure is forced, but with good expression. Carefully-done court setting; good drawing and engraving. Well-known scene since Coypel (Paris: Surugue, c. 1728); now, with more realism. |
