Commentary | The Duchess' page kneels before Teresa Panza and gives her letters and presents from the Duchess and his husband Sancho: "una sarta de corales con extremos de oro" (50:2).
Composition copied after Vanderbank's (London: Tonson, 1738). Accurate details to Cervantes' text: Teresa holds one tow ball and Teresica is barefoot. Bucolic scene; drawing and engraving are good. |
