Commentary The bandit Roque Guinart, on horseback, talking with don Quixote, who remains sad because he has been surprised disarmed.
Don Quixote points to his arms; "que si me hallaran sobre mi caballo con mi lanza y con mi escudo" (60:2).
The bandits search into Sancho's saddlebag.
Good plate as a whole, but with some clumsy details (Guinart's horse); don Quixote's figure with a very well-resolved gesture.
Notes 1 - Same plate first used for madrid: Ibarra, 1780.
