Commentary Well-known scene, resolved according to an almost typiphied composition. Don Quixote kneels down before one of the three peasant girls while Sancho holds the reins of enchanted Dulcinea's donkey; in the background, El Toboso.
Marstrand's drawing, with quick and agile lines, is remarkable.
On the right, a representation of Rocinante and the donhey that will be repeated in the next illustration.
