Commentary | Don Quixote recovers his reason and asks the priest to confess him; he also asks Sansón Carrasco to look for a notary, because he wants to make his will; the barber should appear too.
It is interesting the moment that has been chosen; not the most dramatic (don Quixote's death), but when don Quixote recovers his reason and asks for confession. The scene is quite well-resolved; the priest and Sansón Carrasco's gestures, surprised by don Quixote's sane words, are remarkable. |
