Commentary At Juan Palomeque's inn, the priest asks the innkeeper to show him some of his chivalry books; "sacó del una maletilla vieja cerrada con una cadenilla, y abriéndola, halló en ella tres libros grandes y unos papeles de muy buena letra" (32:1).
Well-resolved composition; the priest, sat at the table with Dorotea, Sancho, the barber and other figures (background), looks backwards to talk with the innkeeper (foreground).
Very original choice.
Drawing and engraving are excellent.
