Commentary | Dialogue between don Quixote and doña Rodríguez after their first mutual scare.
Accurate to Cervantes' text, doña Rodríguez wears a pair of spectacles and holds a candle, and don Quixote is wrapped with a blanket and his face bandaged. Well-drawn and engraved illustration; both figures are remarkable. |
Notes | 1 - Wrongly-placed in chapter 46:2 because it has been engraved in the same wooden block that "... PERO EL GATO, NO CURÁNDOSE DE ESTAS AMENAZAS...".
2 - Río y Rico reads the engraver's signature as "Cabot", but it should be read as "Caba". |
