Commentary | The barber, the priest and Cardenio discovers Dorotea washing her feet into a stream of water and combing her hair.
The same scene has been represented in the headpiece of this chapter; now, the composition is less original and almost copies previous representations of this same episode. Dorotea's figure seems taken from a painting by Murillo. |
Notes | It has been used a variety of chromolithography known as oleography to imitate an oil painting. |
