Commentary | Reference to the captive's tale. Well-known scene; when the captive and Zoraida are discovered by her father, Agi Morato, she pretends to faint and to be helped by the captive.
The illustration is full of Romanticism taste. Balaca has represented the garden almost like a small forest (maybe influenced by the ones of the Alhambra; the use of the color suggests a fresh atmosphere. |
