Commentary Great and theatrical representation of Altisidora's death.
Pellicer has reproduced all the details from Cervantes' text. Sancho dressed with a black robe with painted flames and a capirote; don Quixote, sat on a chair, observes the scene; Altisidora rests on a catafalque surrounded by tapers and covered by a canopy of black velvet; a youth in Roman habit holding an harp; and on a stage, the Duke, Duchess and two kings: Minos and Rhadamanthus.
Drawing and engraving are excellent; the detailed setting is quite remarkable too (notice the light and shadow effects).
