Commentary | Don Quixote, Rocinante and Sancho beaten up by a group of yangüeses.
Very remarkable composition; the scene has been resolved with worth-noting depth. In the foreground, don Quixote, Rocinante and a pair of yangüeses; in the middle ground, Sancho and other yangüeses; and in the background, other yangüeses gathering the herd of mares. Very remarkable expressions (see don Quixote) and gestures, resolved with realism. Excellent illustration. |
