Commentary Sansón Carrasco proposes himself to be don Quixote's squire and don Quixote tells Sancho: "No te dije yo, Sancho, que no me habían de sobrar escuderos? (7:2), which causes Sancho's sadness.
Sancho's sad face is well-detailed; tender image.
Notice how the dialogue has been developed through gestures and looks. Drawing and engraving are excellent.
