Commentary In order to disenchant Altisidora, several dueñas have to pinch Sancho, who "asiendo un hacha encendida, que junto a él estaba, dio tras las Dueñas" (69:2).
This scene was first represented by Bouttats (Amberes: Verdussen, 1672 - 1673); Vanderbank has divided it in three different illustrations (Minos, Rhadamanthus, the Duke, Duchess, don Quixote and servants).
Same setting and characters than in previous illustration.
Drawing and engraving are excellent.
Notes 1 - Second of three illustrations about the same adventure.
