Don Quixote, mounted on Pedro Alonso's donkey, arrives to his house; Pedro Alonso knocks the door. Great interest in representing real Spanish characters and accurate period setting, clothes and details; realistic and picturesque. Jiménez Aranda's drawing skill is masterly; remarkable use of light and shadow. |
