Commentary | "She then, kneeling on the ground,...".
Countess Trifaldi, in mourning and accompanied by Trifaldín (white bearded), three musicians and a retinue of veiled dueñas, kneels before the Duke, the Duchess, don Quixote and Sancho. Remarkable figures; those in mourning robes have been resolved specially well. Cabrera's drawing tries to keep the realistic/picturesque style used by José and Luis Jiménez Aranda for the first part. |
