Commentary While Sancho and don Quixote are sleeping on their mounts in Sierra Morena, Ginés de Pasamonte steals the donkey, leaving Sancho on the packsaddle and four stakes.
The chosen moment -don Quixote and Sancho are still sleeping but the donkey has already been stolen- is especially comical.
Drawing and engraving are excellent.
