Commentary | While Sancho is robbering the habit of one of the friars of Saint Benedict defeated by don Quixote, one of their grooms arrive to help the friar and beat Sancho.
In the background, don Quixote ready to fight against the Basque (both should appear on horseback); beside them, the coach with the Basque lady. Notice the figure of the groom, resolved as a typical Spanish bandit (with sash and navaja). Original composition, good drawing, and nice coloring. |
