Commentary | Don Quixote and Sancho, both in a boat in river Ebro, approaching a mill.
Don Quixote standing and brandishing his sword against some millers (believing that they are ghosts) and Sancho knelt and praying. Accurate to Cervantes' text, the millers, holding poles to prevent the boat from crashing against the wheel mill, appear covered in flour. Well-known scene, but good illustration. |
