Commentary | In the foreground, Rocinante, with don Quixote mounted on it, scared by a bojiganga; accurate to Cervantes' text, the bojiganga brandishes a stick with three bladders blown.
In the background, the cart with the actors of Angulo el Malo's company in costumes to perform Las Cortes de la Muerte (Devil, Cupid, Death, Angel, Emperor, Queen and Soldier) and Sancho on his donkey; all observing the main scene. Good and detailed drawing; well-known scene. |
