Commentary | In Barcelona beach, don Quixote is defeated by the Knight of the White Moon (Sansón Carrasco); the knight appears falling backwards from Rocinante.
In the foreground, Sancho observing the scene. Well-known scene, but it has been resolved with certain novelty. Very austere setting and illustration, but full of emotion; notice the sunlight beams through the clouds; the scene acquires an atmosphere almost transcendental. Worth-noting illustration. |
