Commentary | The scene has been resolved with little accuracy; according to Cervantes' text, don Quixote, still mounted on Rocinante, orders Sancho to pick up the barber basin (Mambrino's helmet); however, in the illustration, don Quixote has dismounted, picked up the basin by himself and, raising it, shows it to Sancho (in the right background).
In the left background, the barber running away. Good drawing style. |
