Commentary Don Quixote and Sancho, both in a boat, arrive dangerously to a mill wheel and the millers try to save them.
Scene first represented in London: Hodgkin, 1687. Then, with a wide view; now, don Quixote and Sancho's expressions are more detailed (Sancho praying frightened; don Quixote threatening the millers that try to save them).
Drawing and engraving are quite remarkable.
Notes 1 – Plate newly engraved in a reduced size by Van der Gucht after Bosc's plate with Vanderbank’s design first engraved for London: Tonson, 1738.
