Commentary | The illustration refers to a scene that never takes place in Cervantes' original text, but in Barret's adapted translation; Sancho asks the priest to help his master, because the squire believes that the officers are going to take don Quixote on an oxcart to the galleys, but the priest answers that the oxcart is to take don Quixote home.
