Commentary | Several shields and arms of the knights in the armies of Pentapolín and Alifanfarón (as described and imagined by don Quixote): Laurcalco's shield with a crowned lion, Micocolembo's with three crowns argent, Brandabarbaran's with a gate (in fact, the whole shield should be a gate), Timonel of Carcajona's with a cat, Pierres Papin's blank shield, Espartafilardo del Bosque's shield with an asparagus plant and motto "Rastrea mi suerte"...
Remarkable drawing style in keeping with Art Nouveau ornamental taste. |
