Commentary | After hearing the answer of the enchanted head, Sancho gets angry and don Quixote shouts him: "Bestia [...], ¿qué quieres que te responda?" (62:2).
Sancho's gesture has been exaggerated. Don Antonio, his wife and friends observe the scene. Scene resolved with great austerity. Figures of great beauty (see women's faces), but without too much relation between them. The enchanted head as a Roman bust (accurate to Cervantes' text). Excellent drawing and engraving. |
