Commentary In the foreground, don Quixote attacking the wineskins; accurate to Cervantes' text, asleep, with a night cap on his head, a blanket wrapped around his arm and brandishing his sword.
The innkeeper, followed by the priest, the barber, Dorotea and others, enters the room to stop him.
Notice the remarkable use of light and shadow; don Quixote appears well-lighted while the innkeeper, the other figures and the room are darker.
Remarkable drawing and engraving and well-resolved movement.
