Commentary Don Quixote mounted on Rocinante.
Image of remarkable personal style influenced by some of the main European Art movements during the 1930s, as late Expressionism and Surrealism; the image loses realism to become more expressive and disturbing, but also oniric, evocative and suggestive (don Quixote imagining a battle? at night? under a full moon?).
Notes 1 - Placed in chapter 17:1, but the illustration does not seem to refer to it explicitly.
