	Commentary	Don Quixote, asleep and with a blanket around his left arm, attacks the wineskins; the innkeeper, the priest, Sancho, Cardenio and the barber enter into the room. Well-known and often illustrated scene; now, it is remarkable the realism with which it has been represented (faces, clothes, room...). Light and shadow effects are remarkable (from innkeeper's lamp); notice the contrast between don Quixote, well-lighted, and the innkeeper, in shade.
	Notes	1 - "Es ésta una de las aventuras quijotescas que más han atraído a los ilustradores de todos los tiempos. En ninguna de sus múltiples variantes hallaremos, empero -como no sea en la de otro compatriota nuestro-, la concisión, la sequedad luminosa e inimitable de la estampa de Carnicero, cuyas cualidades, más que en su buril, están en el instintivo realismo del alma española" (Givanel 158).
