Commentary | Don Quixote punishes Sancho with his lance because the squire prefers Micomicona's beauty; Dorotea tries to stop him.
The priest, the barber and Cardenio observe them. Illustration of great quality because of the composition, gestures, drawing and engraving (see don Quixote's movement, Dorotea's face...). Sancho's face is grotesque, like an 18th century German caricature. |
