| Commentary | Don Quixote tries to help the enchanted Dulcinea, who has fallen from her donkey; meanwhile, Sancho laughs (he knows the deceit).
Original scene. Scene resolved with realism and with anecdotal details (one donkey smelling another), but also with idealized figures (peasant girls). |
