Commentary | Don Quixote protects Basilio and Quiteria.
Accurate to Cervantes' text, Basilio wears a black coat with patches like flames and is crowned with cypress; Quiteria in her wedding dress. Excellent use of woodcut to create highly-effective white and black contrasts. Clean drawing and very expressive figures. |
