Commentary | While Sancho runs to help don Quixote, fallen with Rocinante in the foreground, the bojiganga steals his donkey.
Accurate to Cervantes' text, the bojiganga brandishes a stick with three blown bladders. In the background, the cart with the actors of Angulo el Malo's company disguised to perform Las Cortes de la Muerte (Devil, Death, Emperor or Queen, Knight...). Well-known scene, with little novelty. Acceptable drawing and engraving. |
