Commentary | Don Quixote stands still ready to fight with a lion, but the animal remains into its cage yawning although the lionkeeper has opened it.
Sancho, don Diego de Miranda and the carter observe the scene from a safe distance (background). Well-known scene and composition, with little novelty. Acceptable drawing and engraving. |
