Commentary Reference to Eugenio's tale; Vicente de la Rosa robes and leaves Leandra in a mountain cave; "sin quitalle su honor, le robó cuanto tenía, y la dejó en aquella cueva y se fue" (51:1).
Romantic/tragic scene in keeping with Romanticism taste (see Leandra's figure).
Both figures are well resolved; Vicente de la Rosa's figure is especially well drawn and engraved.
