Commentary | Well-known scene and with little novelty; don Quixote's encounter with the cart of players of Angulo el Malo's company (disguised as Devil, Cupid, Death, Angel, Soldier, Emperor and Queen).
Despite the large size of the vignette, Johannot has resolved it with little detail (most of the figures are more sketched than carefully drawn). |
