Commentary Well-known scene; Basilio lies "almost dead" while one of his friends runs to his aid, Quiteria weeps and Camacho and don Quixote observe him consternated.
The figures of Basilio, Quiteria and the friend are excellent; their gestures and expressions are remarkable (especially Quiteria).
The scene has a good balance of drama and realism; it is not excessively theatrical.
