Commentary | The Duchess' page knelt before Teresa Panza; her daughter, Sanchica, observes the scene; accurate to Cervantes' text, Sanchica appears barefoot.
Traditionally, Teresa Panza is represented holding a ball of tow, but not here. Some picturesque details (hens). Drawing and engraving are excellent; figures with well-represented gestures (surprise, hapiness..). |
