| Commentary | Light change in comparison with the traditional composition; don Quixote does not appear standing up (as represented since Dordrecht: Savery, 1657), but fallen by the cave entrance; "y salieron por ella una infinidad de grandísimos cuervos y grajos, tan espesos y con tanta priesa, que dieron con don Quixote en el suelo" (22:2).
