Commentary In Sierra Morena, the priest and Cardenio (the barber should appear too), both hidden, observe Dorotea washing her feet in a stream of water.
Accurate to Cervantes' text, Dorotea wears man clothes; figure of great beauty and certain eroticism.
Detailed and picturesque setting.
Good drawing and engraving.
In an ornamental and architectural frame with Love's arms (arrows and bow), a butterfly and flowers (same in previous illustration); the whole illustration has got a remarkable decorative effect.
