Commentary Excellent composition and figures of great quality.
In the center, Sancho, terrified and ridiculous, is armed; figure of great realism, almost as a real portrait. Behind him, a figure laughs (in contrast with Sancho's fear. On the left, a soldier draws his sword with his back turned on the viewer in a masterly escorzo (perfect drawing and engraving; figure of great quality that remembers Quattrocento painting).
Well-detailed background: Tuscan architecture, columns, balustrade...
Notes 1 - This is the only illustration by Armstrong for this edition and the best of the whole set.
