Commentary | Don Quixote, completely armed and mounted on Rocinante, leaves his house; caconical image of don Quixote's first sally.
Don Quixote's figure results serious, but also comical (ridiculous feathers on his helmet). Picturesque and detailed setting; notice that a peacock has been included on the right, quite decorative. |
