Commentary | Don Quixote tries to whip Sancho while the squire is asleep, but Sancho wakes up and stops don Quixote.
The illustration has not represented the action too much well; the characters' expressions are quite neutral. In the background, the hanged bandits. Don Quixote's figure has been drawn and engraved better than Sancho's. |
