Commentary Second scene from the tale of the knight of the Lake, told by don Quixote to the canon of Toledo; the Knight arrives to a castle where he will be welcome by several maidens.
Excellent Romantic image, with an extraordinary representation of a Gothic castle.
Drawing and engraving are excellent.
Notes John Scott (New Castle, 1774 – Chelsea, 1828): Burin engraver. He was a disciple of Pollard and collaborated with different publications. He was especially talented for the engravings of dogs and horses. His works were quite popular (Benezit IX, 483).
