Commentary | Well-known scene since Savery (Dordrecht: Savery, 1657) and several times represented.
Don Quixote and Sancho riding Clavileño while the Duke and the Duchess observe them (left foreground) and several servants pretend its flight with torches and pairs of bellows. Drawing and engraving are acceptable; composition is good too. This is one of the best illustrations of the whole set. |
