Commentary | Sancho, knelt down before the Duchess (riding a white horse and holding a goshawk and accompanied by two servants), introduces don Quixote and himself to her; don Quixote does not appear.
The humor of the scene is in Sancho's words, not in the action. The figure of the Duchess, riding the horse, is quite remarkable; image of great beauty, with excellent and detailed drawing and engraving. |
