Illustrations: This is a set of six plates, originaly designed and engraved by William Hogarth for Tonson´s 1738 edition, with descriptions in English later added under Dodsley's direction, and now restored by James Heath. Reprinted in London: Baldwin and Cradock [1835-37]. |
Description: Hogarth's rejected illustrations for the Lord Carteret edition (Londres: J. y R. Tonson, 1738). The original plates were bought by J. Dodsley after Tonson´s death, later by Messrs.
